Meditation to Marinate in Happy
Not every day is a terrible day when you live with blinding sensation known as pain. Some days are amazing. When those perfect days occur, I like to take some extra time to stop and marinate in the sheer goodness of what “happy” feels like.
Sounds crazy but science has proven that when we are happy the brain releases happy chemicals. Those happy chemicals are shown to have an effect on pain. SO…if you’re in excruciating pain then the best medicine is ANYTHING THAT MAKES YOU HAPPY.
It may not get rid of all your sensation, but for me it makes a huge difference. I told you I’d share good and bad days with you and this was one of the really rare, really good ones.
I hope you can find some peace in what I call “marinating in happy” and know that you’re not alone… I will be doing this stuff right beside you all the way.
