While out in LA I rediscovered my decades old love of juicing. Pain has a way of taking away things we love and it’s taken me a while to get back to juice as part of my lifestyle.

My personal favorite of all juices is green juice and I’ve been making and drinking my own green juice for years. I’ve recently discovered a sensitivity to cucumber, lemons and celery—3 cornerstones of this recipe—but I just double up on kale, spinach or apples and deal with it. Here is my old trusty standby recipe for “Green Juice of the Gods”. Enjoy!

3 huge hands-full of spinach

1 bunch kale with stalks (can also substitute collard greens)

1 cucumber

4 stalks celery

1 lemon 1 1″ x 1” piece of ginger (more to taste)

1 large or 2 small apples
