Pain and the brain
There is a difference between types of pain signals in the brain.
CHRONIC pain signals originate in and are interpreted by the brain if you believe what you read in the journals of neuroscience—which I do. This video is an introduction to how I believe we can begin to think differently about your pain and interpret those signals as something other than a need for more pills.
It’s just an introduction but I believe that how we think of our pain is more important than anything else in the battle to thrive with intense discomfort that other people call pain. I also touch a little bit on loneliness and depression and pain. Loneliness causes increased inflammation according to recent studies. Increased inflammation causes increased pain. Join me in changing how we think about our pain so we can help ourselves and give some love to the world around us…AND BEAT THIS LONELINESS/DEPRESSION/PAIN connection, one real personal contact at a time.
